Choice of Pentium III class Via C3 Eden 400MHz or 733MHz processor, with Microsoft Windows CE.NET version 4.2 or Microsoft XP Embedded operating system

DC power supplies are fully self-contained in the unit, withstand bursts up to 2kV, are electronically and galvanically isolated for reliability, and cover power outages up to 5ms. For stationary, development, or troubleshooting purposes, there are external power converters with 12VDC or 24VDC outputs. Alternatively, the terminal can be ordered with an internal power supply to directly connect to 120/230VAC source.

 

Automatic switch-off option to prevent unnecessary vehicle battery drain when not in-use

 

2100 mAh UPS option is available for temporary use without external power source

Automated Data Collection Options

Two serial COM ports, and COM1 can be ordered with +5VDC or +12VDC power on pin 9, for serial scanners, EZ-ID fingerprint reader, and other AutoID devices. The included software wedge utility can be used to wedge COM data into the keyboard datastream from any or all COM ports

 

Keyboard emulation devices (barcode wedges) can be used on the standard PS/2 keyboard port

 

USB devices can be used with one or both of the USB ports

 

Brackets for mounting various barcode laser scanners are available

IBM5250, IBM3270, VT, or HP text-based terminal emulation can be run in demo mode at any time. It requires the purchase of a separate license to be used in production mode.
